Richard has worked with the host for HGTV’s “Elbow Room,” Chip Wade, for five seasons. Chip has asked Richard to make cabinets, bathroom vanities, bookcases and various art pieces….all designed and cut using EnRoute Software. One of his favorite projects was creating all the gears and parts for a fifteen foot-tall grandfather clock, along with an eighteen foot-tall cabinet for housing it. Richard received a schematic of a regular size clock with all of the gears and input that data into Enroute to adjust the sizing. He then used half-inch and quarter-inch Baltic birch plywood to cut out each part. “Chip and his crew painted and assembled the finished product. It started operating immediately, just like clockwork!” –Richard Smith, Owner.
Qualico Cabinetry and Wood Fabrication is a Roswell-based company that produces custom cabinets and unique wood projects. Owner, Richard Smith, started Qualico Construction as a general contractor in 2000. After several customers requested custom cabinets and built-in units, Richard addressed this demand with his purchase of a MultiCam 1000 CNC equipped with EnRoute Software and began to specialize in cabinet design. Richard’s work in Roswell quickly spread further into the Metro Atlanta area by word-of-mouth advertising, and his expertise in making kitchen cabinets, vanities, and desks resulted in a reputation for products of high quality.
