Hello,

I'm trying to make a 90deg cut into a 30mm material
problem being the largest cutting tool i can find off the
shelf is not quite large enough as it's diameter is only
51mm with a 26mm cutting depth, does anyone know how to
set EnRoute to do 1 cut at full depth then do a 2nd & 3rd
cut offset to either side a little high to trim of the
remaining vertical cuts of the 1st cut?

Hoping someone here can help me?

Thank you,
Phillip

Draw a box 60mm x whatever length you need and do an
engraving toolpath, at the "engrave parameters" settings
select 3d toolpaths and internal-female. Hopefully this is
what you are looking for.
Good luck.

ER won't do the centre at full-depth first, like you ask-it will do the middle pass at the max depth for the tool geometry, first, then do the edges, then redo the middle deeper, based on the geometry you've set up for it in the Tool Library.

As Paul says above-the (female) engraving toolpath strategy will automatically do all the working out for you.

It will however limit the depth of cut, to whatever it needs to be, such that the edges of the cut are the edge vectors of the shape/s you selected.

With a username like AA Qld, where in Oz (or Qld) are you from?
We're near Toowoomba-ish.
