Using Roman 4 from Flexi and Sending to EnRoute 5.1. There are so many
loops that it is useless. And there's about 200 points per letter. What am I
doing wrong? Tried converting to outlines and cleaning up number of points.
No go.
Needs to be Roman 4 as that is the closest to existing panel.
Thanks

Does this font not show up in Enroute? Are you saving
the file as a DXF?

Best regards,
Aaron

It's a stroke font, actually 4 as the name reflects. When I try to run an
Engrave or Offset open contour I get the warning about loops. If I don't run it
I get the arrows pointing to 10-20 loops per letter. If I run the tool path most
of the letter disappears.
No need to save the file yet.
Thanks

Have you tried exporting the text to a DXF file in Flexi
and then importing that file into Enroute 5?

Best Regards,
Aaron

Yeah, tried DXF and EPS and Send To Enroute from Flexi.
Looks like I found a solution if I do an Engrave Toolpath and check Follow
Contour and then manually set Z at the machine.
Thanks

I found a quick way to fix this issue. I purchased some dxf files and they all came with a bunch of loops. The borders were pink and it would have taken way too long to connect everything. Here is the quick fix inside of Enroute Software.

Click on Setup \ Preferences \ General Tab \ Merge Contours = check import and adjust tolerace to suit. Mine is set for 0.010. I have done the same for "Automatic Cleanup"

Life saver. Hope it helps you as much as it helped me!

I can't remember where on the site they are but there are a number of Enroute single stroke fonts that you can download(It's possible that they come with EnRoute and that I just forgot). ER_basic_ss, ER_SCRIPT_SS and ER_PRINT_SS.  Aaron, where do those live?

Jesse,
Typically those three fonts come with the Enroute install. So they should be in there. I don't think there we have them on the website anywhere.

Best Regards,
Aaron
