Can I make my display black?
Under the Setup/Preferences/Display tab you will find all the options for colors. They are accessible by double clicking on the color to the right of the item.
Can I receive support if I buy a second hand seat of EnRoute software?
A customer who buys a second hand copy of EnRoute must pay a $500 license transfer fee and upgrade the product to the current product level to receive support. This can be done through an authorized EnRoute dealer or by contacting SAi directly.
Can I transport my preferences and settings from one EnRoute install to another?
Yes, you can transport things like the Tool Library, Strategy Templates, Plate Library and Material Library by going to the C:\EnRoute4_1 folder and looking for all of the *.ini (configuration settings) files and copying them into the other EnRoute4_1 folder. The EnRoutePreferences.xml file can also be copied from one EnRoute install to another (does not work for EnRoute 3). And driver files from the EnRoute4_1\Ndrivers folder can be transported from one install to another.
Can I use EnRoute on more than one computer?
Each EnRoute key is one license of the software and will allow the software to be used on one PC at a time. The key can be moved from one PC to another. For more than one EnRoute to be running at the same time, multiple keys would have to be purchased. The cost of a traditional* site license key (additional key) is 30% off the same level of software as the first key or any lower version. *Does not apply to subscription licenses
Do I have to define a Plate?
Yes it is good practice to define the plate. It becomes very important when you are setting your surface to the top of your material as the tool path is configured from the plate thickness.
How can I import an IGES file into EnRoute?
EnRoute does not support solid formats. The solid would have to first be converted into a MESH file and them imported into EnRoute.
How do I change the Units?
Under the Setup/Preferences/Units tab you will find all the options for Length-Time-Speed.
How do I cut something that is bigger than my plate?
By selecting the Clip Toolpath to Plate located in Setup/Preferences/General tab you can output only the portion of a toolpath that is inside the plate, making separate output files for each plate section.
How do I get to a different view?
You can access the 4 view by double clicking on Top, located in the top left of the drawing area. You can toggle between Front view and Perspective by hitting F12.

How do I Zoom?
Zoom can be done by the following: - Zoom toolbar - Wheel of your mouse Moving the mouse right or left while holding the control button and the right mouse button down
I get an OLE error message when I try to start EnRoute on Window’s 7 or Vista. What do I do?
When running EnRoute on Windows 7 or Vista, the first time you start EnRoute you have to go to the EnRoute4_1 directory and find the EnRoute4.exe file. Then right click it and choose “Run as administrator”.
I lost my key, what do I do?
Please be very careful with your hardware key. If you have lost your key, you have lost your copy of EnRoute. A replacement site license key can be purchased, for pricing call 801-803-5759. Any necessary information can be provided for insurance claims.
Is EnRoute 6 compatible with older versions of Windows?
Yes. EnRoute 6, the current version , is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.
Is there a way to center an object on the Plate?
The number pad on your key board represents the positions of the plate. The number 1 being the bottom left. By selecting the object, holding the control button down and hitting either 1-9 you will position the object corresponding to the number pressed
What is an Activation Code?
Starting with version 4.1, the first time EnRoute is started a screen will appear to register the key. Once the key is registered, the activation code will be provided via email and on screen to activate the key. The activation code is different than the key password. This only has to be done once.
What is the difference between “Surface at top of plate” and ““Surface at bottom of plate”?
Surface at top of plate means you are setting “Z 0” to the top of the material. Surface at bottom of plate means you are setting “Z 0” to the top of your spoil board or the bottom of your material.

What type of bitmap files does EnRoute support?
EnRoute can import Bitmaps and JPEG formats. Microsoft Paint can be used to convert most image files into BMP’s or JPG files.
What types of 3D MESH files can EnRoute work with?
EnRoute can import 3D DXF Mesh files, STL files and 3DS files.
What types of files can EnRoute Import?

When I import a 2D vector file, it comes in as separate line segments. Is there a way to join them
Under the Setup/Preferences/General Tab there is a Merge Contours check box for Import or Paste. By setting the tolerances you will join the contours if they fall into that tolerance.
When I import a AI or DXF object such as text, it appears to be distorted from what it originally lo
Under Setup/Preferences/General Tab there is a setting for Automatic Cleanup of contours when they are imported into EnRoute. Setting this Tolerance to a lower value (e.g., .001) should prevent any distortion.
Will EnRoute run on a 64 bit operating System?
Yes, EnRoute 5 and greater will run on 64-bit operating systems.
Will EnRoute run on a Mac?
EnRoute is a Window’s based program only.
